Publish paper in Journal

My boss ask me to publish paper in journal. She asked me to sent her manuscript for 4 publisher. Even though I think it is unethical to sent the manuscript to more than one publisher, but I still proceed to edit the paper. Because I am not going to use my account to publish it. I just need to edit it for her and make it ready for her.

First thing you need to do before sending your paper is to read the author guideline from the selected journal. Then you have to comply with their requirement, i.e formatting and referencing.

Research Assistant

My job as a research assistant started 28/sept/2015.

What you need to do as a research assistant :

1. Get a title or a rough background on what you want to search.
2. Go to Google scholar- get the latest research from past 5 years.
3. Summarize in an excell format.
4. The summary must include citation ( follow the format i.e APA style) , methodology, year, abstract, type of research and some other title relevant to your research)
5. Start writing i.e free writing

Second stage
1. Go to more serious journal from publisher i.e SAGE, Emerald, EBSCO etc.
2. Go into the topic in depth.
3. Find one article which is close enough to your research, make it a pilot/anchor article, so that you wont be lost while reading numerous journal. Refer to the bibliography and reference to snowball on what other had wrote.

Sorting the journal

After you have download the journal, you need to keep a list of it. Otherwise it will be difficult to find it.

First you need to to do is to sort it according to year. Please read the recent journal. In example you can start reading the last 5 years journal. Older journal may not be helpful if you want to know more about methodology, as many new software coming out.
